Church School
Within
the parish of St Matthew's you will find the excellent Pilgrim School. This is a
Church of England Voluntary Controlled (CEVC) primary school for children from
Year R to Year 6. There is also a Nursery Unit for children from age 3.
The school is a vibrant and forward-thinking organisation that is always looking for new and invigorating ways to ensure children achieve high standards. They have excellent staff and have done wonders with the facilities available to them. Plans are underway for a brand new school to be built on the existing site in Warwick Crescent. This is a very exciting time for staff and pupils at the school.
As a church we have good links with the school and we are always looking for ways in which we can build on these. We have representatives on the governing body, we are involved in taking assembly once a week and the children come to the church to celebrate the major Christian festivals.
The Pilgrim School aims to be the school of choice for the people of Borstal. See for yourself the great things that are happening at the school by visiting their website
